Dust removal

In order to eliminate dust efficiently and to optimise static dust removal, mechanical action (blowing, brushing…) should be combined with ionisation, to which a sucking action should be added (using an industrial vacuum cleaner). These three actions can be used to remove the dust from your products and cleaning via ionisation will therefore be optimal.

There are systems for different types of applications such as removing dust from flat surfaces (single and double faces) or removing dust from shaped parts (external or internal). These systems are developed and sized to order and can be adapted for most products (inside perfume flasks, cork stoppers, paper …).

After laboratory tests (study available on request), it appears that traditional dust removal leaves 21.38% of particles attached to the control film.
With ELCOWA’s innovative system, only 0.48% of particles remain!

ECA 88-BS

ECA 88BS electrodes use the accumulation of capacitive charges on each point. The corona effect is obtained on saturation of the capacity. The advantage of the process is to avoid the inconvenience caused by accidental contact with the electrodes under voltage.
Of similar design to the ECA 88 B, this version differs due to the use of a tubular aluminium or stainless steel section as an expansion chamber for the compressed air.

Combining an antistatic electrode with a laminar flow air shower creates a curtain of ionized air. This ionized air curtain, due to its power and strong ion concentration neutralises electrostatic charges and expels stray particles.

TIS-N capacitive ionisation head

Specially designed to eliminate electrostatic charges in small parts in many types of industries (plastics, printing, silkscreen, etc…). This device connected to a generator is capable of solving a multitude of problems (bonding, dust removal, cleaning). This new ionising gun is the result of a lengthy study. In fact, the high-voltage cable is now integrated into the handle. Another advantage is that the compressed air no longer circulates through the high-voltage part, thus eliminating problems of humidity and corrosion, as well as the device wearing prematurely.

Ionising dust removal systems are particularly effective in removing undesirable particles that are deposited on the surface of dielectric materials. These materials are by nature particularly exposed to phenomena of attraction and bonding due to the accumulation of electrostatic charges caused by friction. Stray particles cannot be removed by simple brushing or vacuuming. Brushes, creating additional electrostatic charges through friction, reinforce the bonding phenomenon and make dust removal impossible. The principle of operation of the ECOVAC 5 ionising dust removal system lies in the combination of the effects of brushing, elimination of existing static charges and vacuuming, making effective cleaning possible.

To achieve optimum dust removal from film, three inseparable actions must be implemented:
– A mechanical means to separate the particles from the medium.
– Air ionisation to eliminate electrostatic attraction.
– Vacuuming to remove the particles.

ECOVAC 8

ECOVAC 8 is the ideal system for removing dust from inside pots or shaped containers.
Designed within a shot-peened 15/10 thick, 304L stainless steel casing, this system combines strength and corrosion resistance, in order to comply with the constraints of the food and pharmaceutical industries.
The combination of the blowing effect, vacuuming and elimination of existing static charges makes effective product cleaning possible.

ECOVAC 12

Containers pass through a tunnel to be cleaned, prior to filling. The ionizing bars neutralize electrostatic charges, the rotary blower nozzles expel unwanted particles which are captured by the vacuumed air flow. All the dust is then captured by the system’s filters.
Only the action of these three phenomena combined guarantees that all the particles and/or dust visible to the naked eye present in the container before filling are removed. Preventive quality action is thus perfectly controlled upstream.
